We were so blessed this past week to be on Spring Break! It was nice to have a "stay-cation" and take a sabbatical from the norm. Tony's parents came down at the beginning of the week, and the weather was gorgeous so we spent tons of time outdoors. When the weather turned cold and rainy :( we hit the library, visited great-grandparents with Papa, shopped, played with cousins, and attended a couple birthday parties. I even did some spring cleaning! Here are some fun pics from our week.
Ducky has been with us for a long time. He was actually a present from Aunt Patience when Cale was born. As soon as Mya was old enough to be aware of her surroundings, she fell in love with Ducky. She used to suck on his wing while she slept. It was actually quite disgusting as the wing would turn brown and stink. Ducky visited the wash room very frequently! After the smell became unbearable we were so excited to find an exact replica of Ducky. We tried to switch him out, but Mya took one look at the new one and asked where HER Ducky was. :)
Even though Mya doesn't suck on Ducky's wing anymore, he has still been her faithful comfort and friend. Tony and I bought Mya a bear for Valentines Day, and much to our surprise Ducky has been sleeping by himself! It is so bitter sweet. I was so ready for her to give up that thing and now it is rather sad that our little girl doesn't need her Ducky anymore. Here she is at nap time today sleeping with bear and her rhinoceros from her Papa. Sweet girl!
We are FINALLY done with all of the paper chasing, notarizing, certifying, photo copying...and have placed our thick packet of papers in the mail! Let the second paper pregnancy begin!!! Please pray for America World now as they look at our file and choose a little girl for our family. WOW, how HUGE is that?? Please pray for her protection...as well as the other 4.8 million orphans in Ethiopia waiting to have a forever family.
